BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring for a Meat Department position in Massachusetts. You will receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise meats, assist members, and uphold quality and safety standards. You’ll work with seafood, prepared foods, and cheese sections, supporting club policies and maintaining a safe, positive environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, speed, and integrity, with focus on customer service and accurate stock management in a fast-paced club setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsabilités

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Makes recommendations on food products when necessary.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• May grind hamburger meat.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Ensures that all delivered meat meets or exceeds company quality standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
• Follows club policies and procedures; maintains safety and cleanliness standards.
