Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Department position in Massachusetts. You will assist Members with meats, poultry, seafood, and prepared foods, weighing, packaging, wrapping and labeling, and helping the meat cutter as needed.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, inspecting quality, rotating stock by expiration dates, and maintaining clean, organized meat areas while delivering friendly, helpful service to members daily.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh/processed meats preferred.
• Experience in meat/deli department preferred.
• Knowledge of wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood; weighs, packages, wraps and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Receives and unpacks meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses in the meat cooler and freezer; inspects deliveries for quality.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses by expiration dates; disposes of damaged/expired products per guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, display fixtures, and meat department areas; keeps cases fully stocked.
• Ensures club policies and procedures are followed; provides friendly service and supports team goals.
