BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Meat Department team member in Marlborough, MA. The role involves receiving, rotating, wrapping, and merchandising fresh and processed meats, and assisting Members with questions and product recommendations.

You will maintain cleanliness and safety standards, support club policies, and work as part of a fast-moving team to deliver great value and service daily.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Maks recommendations on food products when necessary.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• May grind hamburger meat.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
