Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Meat Wrapper to learn and perform packaging, weighing, labeling, and merchandising of fresh meat in our store.

You will follow COOL, USDA, and company policies, maintain cold chain, rotate stock, and help with ordering and display updates. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and customer service.

Candidates should be 18+, have a HS diploma, basic math, and be able to read, write and speak English; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in grocery perishable dept or meat wrapping preferred.
• Able to read, write and speak English; basic math skills required.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and meat department tools/equipment (knives, scales, slicers, cubing machine, power saw where certified).
• Demonstrates dependable, flexible work ethic, and strong teamwork.
• May travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wraps, weighs and prices meat cuts.
• Packages beef, pork and poultry per company policies.
• Labels packages per COOL, USDA, and company standards.
• Maintains displays and case signs to maximize sales.
• Assists with product ordering and rotation of stock.
• Receives deliveries and preserves cold chain; inspect and store meat.
• Performs sanitation and cleans meat cases and rooms.
• Follows all policies, safety procedures, and dress code.
• Performs other store duties as needed.
