Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Dallas is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our store team. You will deliver friendly, attentive customer service while handling meat products safely, rotating stock and following all safety and weighing procedures.

This hands-on role includes receiving, storing, unloading deliveries, grinding meats, and helping customers with questions or special orders. You will also reference weekly ad items and adhere to Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable, reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Stand for up to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift/carry products between 25 and 90 lbs., and move pallets and racks as described in safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service and product knowledge.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries from trucks.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized Meat Department area.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and directions to products.
• Follow company guidelines and weekly ad items relevant to the department.
