Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our Meat Department. You will provide exceptional customer service, handle meat processing, and maintain product knowledge while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

The role involves handling deliveries, slicing and grinding meats, and assisting customers with questions and special orders in a fast-paced store environment. Flexible scheduling supports nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and keep area clean and sanitized.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Capable of standing for up to 4 hours and walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Work in a temperature controlled area and maintain department cleanliness.
• Good vision for using knives, band saws, grinders, and other equipment.
• Lift/carry 25–90 lbs., move pallets up to 500 lbs., and handle heavy loads over short distances.
• Move racks and tables weighing up to 70 lbs. over various distances.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and product knowledge in the Meat Department.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries and rotate inventory.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and needs.
• Maintain and follow the department's safety and cleanliness procedures.
