Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a part-time Meat Clerk in Manchester, NH. You will assist Members with meats, poultry and seafood, weigh and wrap cuts, and help maintain fully stocked cases with proper rotation.

The role supports the meat department, including cleaning and safety standards, while delivering fast, friendly service. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to club policies, and a positive member experience, with weekly pay and benefits as outlined by BJ’s.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Ensures the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Follows established guidelines when disposing of damaged and/or expired products.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
