Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the meat department with weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking meats, poultry, and seafood. You’ll assist Members, answer questions, and help maintain safety and cleanliness standards.

This full-time role offers weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities to grow. Must be 18+ with previous experience in meat or deli preferred; physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Ensures that the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked.
