Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Food Service Representative to maintain a well-stocked department and deliver superior customer service. You will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily, while upholding all food safety and sanitation standards.

Your duties include handling customer orders by phone or in person, answering questions, applying suggestive selling, and assisting in Bakery, Deli, and Prepared Foods areas as needed. This role requires strong MF skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (e.g., PC, symbol, scales, label machine).
• Reading and writing skills required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Planning and organizing abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service and assists with product selections.
• Takes orders from customers by phone or in person.
• Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh products daily.
• Rotates, labels, and culls products for quality control.
• Cleans display cases and adheres to food safety standards.
• Uses ordering systems and assists in Bakery, Deli, and Prepared Foods as needed.
