Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Food Service Representative to maintain a well-stocked, clean department and deliver superior customer service. You will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily while following food safety and sanitation standards.

You’ll handle customer questions, take orders in person or by phone, and use product knowledge and suggestive selling to help customers and support department sales.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of Company Orientation – required.
• Food safety and sanitation training – required on hire.
• Age 18+ – minimum requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service to shoppers.
• Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person and answers questions about products.
• Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh products daily.
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases and operates equipment safely.
• Follows food safety/sanitation standards and store procedures.
• Rotates stock and assists in department tasks as needed (Bakery/Deli/Prepared Foods).
