Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Food Service Representative to maintain a well-stocked, well-maintained department and deliver superior customer service. You will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily while upholding all food safety and sanitation standards.

The role involves handling customer inquiries, taking orders, and applying product knowledge to meet needs. You’ll support Bakery, Deli, Prepared Foods, and general operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of Company Orientation is required.
• Food safety and sanitation training will be provided upon hire.
• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and take orders from customers in person or by phone.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily while maintaining quality standards.
• Keep display cases clean; operate and maintain equipment; adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Use order systems and apply basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and drive sales.
• Assist in Bakery/Deli/Prepared Foods as needed with production, decoration, and packaging.
• Follow department and store procedures; participate in inventory, planning, and sanitation tasks.
