Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Food Service Representative to maintain a well-stocked department and deliver superior customer service. You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily while upholding food safety and sanitation standards.

In this role you will assist Bakery, Deli, and Prepared Foods, handle customer orders, operate basic equipment, and apply suggestive selling to support department sales. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs and adapt to a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Company Orientation is required.
• Food safety and sanitation training is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service and takes orders from customers by phone or in person.
• Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product daily while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and boost department sales.
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases and operates equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follows food safety and sanitation standards and department procedures.
