Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced deli team. In this role you will assist customers, prepare fresh and easy meals, and ensure deli items are properly packaged, displayed, and sanitized.

You will operate slicers and other deli equipment, rotate stock, and help with special orders and trays while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. We value dependable, friendly team members who can work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and prepare fresh, easy meals.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and displayed; keep area clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment (slicer, ovens, microwaves, scales) per standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
