The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, dependable work ethic, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the deli area; operate slicers and other deli equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing ready-to-eat meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards.
• Keep deli area clean and sanitary and maintain equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment quality.
