The role involves operating deli equipment, packing orders, maintaining product displays, and providing friendly, reliable service in a fast-paced grocery environment. Eligibility includes a high school diploma or equivalent and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule that changes with the business, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 feet without assistance.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain safe, sanitary deli area.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy foods by preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented properly.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following standards and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy.
