Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent or related experience
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
• Good communication and teamwork
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and move up to 20 ft
• Stand for up to 4 hours per shift
• General housekeeping in department
• Operate deli equipment safely
• Adhere to safety and Weights & Measures; Food Handlers permit
• Work in cooler/freezer environments
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; keep area clean
• Fill, maintain, rotate products and displays
• Prepare special orders and party trays
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales and other deli equipment as per standards
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves, floors, etc.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy, temp and quality
