Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to help customers choose healthy foods and prepare fresh meals in a fast-paced grocery setting. You will operate deli equipment, assemble party trays, maintain displays, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the deli area.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain clean, sanitary deli area and follow safety guidelines.
• Food Handler permit or equivalent compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, keeping area clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards (slicer, ovens, scales).
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment, clean shelves and floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
