Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced deli team. You will help customers select healthy options, prepare fresh meals, and ensure deli displays are well-stocked and clean.

You’ll operate slicers and ovens, handle special orders, and maintain safety and sanitary standards throughout the deli area. A friendly, reliable team player with a flexible schedule is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with grocery/food service experience preferred.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to take direction and follow procedures.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of handling special orders and customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with healthy food choices and prepare fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented with cleanliness.
• Rotate and maintain product displays; prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following standards and safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary deli area and assist with stocking and logging shipments.
