Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced team in the deli department. You will help customers choose healthy foods, prepare fresh meals, and maintain attractive, safe displays.

Responsibilities include packing, pricing, and rotating items, handling special orders, and operating deli equipment to serve guests efficiently. We offer a supportive environment with competitive pay, flexible schedules, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Have and show an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand up to 8 hours per shift.
• Food Handlers permit and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely (slicers, ovens, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
