Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced, customer-focused team. You’ll help customers choose fresh, healthy options and prepare and present deli items with care.

Responsibilities include handling special orders and party trays, rotating stock, and operating slicers and other deli equipment while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. A friendly attitude and reliable schedule are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Operate deli equipment and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Comply with safety, health, and Food Handlers permit requirements.
• Work in coolers and freezers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting fresh, healthy meals and provide strong customer service.
• Ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, displayed, and clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales, and other deli equipment according to standards.
• Keep deli area and equipment clean, safe, and sanitary.
