Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and grocery/restaurant experience or any education/experience mix.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs., with or without assistance, up to 4 hours.
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate deli equipment safely.
• Follow safety, health, and food-handling regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy foods by preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level of service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely following procedures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log product quality and shipment accuracy.
