Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our team in Birmingham, AL. You will assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and present deli items with care. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs as needed.

You will help maintain a clean deli area, rotate products, and support special orders and party trays. A high school diploma or equivalent and customer-service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and grocery/restaurant experience.
• Be dependable, friendly and able to interact with customers with a positive attitude.
• Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork; able to take directions and assist in a team.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and prepare fresh meals.
• Provide high level of service and ensure deli items are properly prepared and presented.
• Maintain cleanliness of deli area and rotate products on displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays; operate deli equipment safely.
• Receive and inspect shipments and ensure product quality.
