Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking team members for our Deli department in Rio Rancho, NM. You will assist customers with healthy food choices, prepare fresh meals, and ensure deli items are properly packaged and displayed with a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, handling special orders, operating deli equipment, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and physical ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure Deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented with cleanliness of the Deli area.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
