Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with HS diploma or equivalent and grocery/restaurant experience or equivalent
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team
• Able to answer phones and take special orders
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 ft without assistance
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the deli area
• Operate slicer and other deli equipment safely
• Follow safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit
• Work in cooler and freezer environments
• Other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting healthy foods and meals
• Provide high level of customer service and keep deli area clean and presentable
• Fill, rotate, and display products
• Prepare special orders and party trays
• Operate deli equipment (slicer, ovens, microwaves) safely
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment
• Receive and log shipments for quality and temperature
• Respond to customer requests and special orders in a timely manner
