Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable and professional English/French Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed employment in NYC. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation services for educational settings, traveling to assignments as needed.

Applicants must read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and French and maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Starting pay is $35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and French.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between both languages.
• Demonstrate strong listening, comprehension, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student evaluations, enrollment appointments, and school orientations.
• Interpret accurately between English and French while preserving meaning and confidentiality.
• Communicate professionally with families and school personnel and arrive on time for assignments.
