NTC Language Services seeks reliable English/Portuguese Educational Interpreters for in-person assignments in NYC, NY. This part-time, as-needed role requires travel to schools and accurate interpretation for diverse educational settings.

Applicants must be fluent in English and Portuguese, able to arrive on time, and maintain confidentiality. Starting pay is $35.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Portuguese.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between both languages.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and professional conduct in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences.
• Interpret for CSE/CPSE meetings and student evaluations.
• Support school orientations, enrollment, and family engagement events.
• Ensure accurate transmission of messages with appropriate tone and accuracy.
• Collaborate with students, families, educators, and school staff.
