Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable, professional English/Tagalog Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed employment. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation services in NYC, New York, supporting students, families, educators, and school professionals.

The role requires travel to assignments in person, with a starting pay of $35.00 per hour and flexible scheduling. This is not remote; be prepared for various educational settings and maintain confidentiality and

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Tagalog.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between both languages.
• Maintain neutrality and confidentiality in school settings.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student evaluations.
• Interpret accurately and completely between English and Tagalog.
• Preserve meaning, tone, and intent of all communications.
• Remain neutral and confidential.
• Arrive on time for each assignment and travel to NYC in-person locations.
• Interact professionally with families and school staff.
