Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable in-person Educational Interpreters fluent in English and Mandarin for part-time, as-needed work in NYC. Interpreters will provide accurate and culturally responsive interpretation across educational settings, including conferences, meetings, and student assessments.

Travel to NYC assignments is expected, and remote work is not offered. Starting pay is $35.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and opportunities to engage in diverse educational

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Mandarin.
• Reliable, professional in in-person settings.
• Willingness to travel to NYC assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
• Interpret for committees and student-related meetings (CSE, CPSE, evaluations, enrollment).
• Assist with school orientations, workshops, and family engagement events.
• Maintain confidentiality and neutrality, accurately conveying messages.
