Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable, professional English/Spanish Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed work in Western Suffolk County, NY. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation for school meetings and events, maintaining accuracy, neutrality, and confidentiality while traveling to assignment sites.

Starting pay is $35.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to work across diverse educational settings, supporting students, families, and school

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong listening and communication skills.
• Available to attend in-person assignments in Western Suffolk County, NY.
• Able to travel to and work at school locations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and neutrality in all interactions.
• Experience in education or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate English/Spanish interpretation during meetings and events.
• Interpret for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, and student activities.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to district policies.
• Arrive on time and stay for the full duration of assignments.
• Communicate availability and scheduling promptly.
