Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Fremont is seeking an Assembly Production Manager to lead, optimize, and scale our assembly operations. You will oversee daily processes, guide a manufacturing team, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time production.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of leadership in high‑volume manufacturing, hands-on Lean/Six Sigma experience, and ERP/MES proficiency (SAP/Oracle). A Bachelor's in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering is required. ITAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience within an assembly or high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Deep familiarity with manual, semi-automated, or fully automated assembly line configurations and material-handling systems.
• Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all assembly lines and shifts to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules are fully executed.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and assembly technicians, promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to monitor defect rates, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA compliance, lead safety audits, and proactively eliminate hazards on the shop floor.
• Manage shop floor budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, and material workflows to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
