Job summary

Sun Country Airlines in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Manager, Cargo Loading & Hazmat to drive a safe, compliant freighter operations program. You will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and Amazon stakeholders to improve performance and station readiness.

You will oversee hazardous materials programs, manage regulatory compliance, and lead cross-functional issue resolution while traveling to stations as needed. The role is full-time and onsite with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation, operations, safety, business, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3 years airline, cargo, or ground operations experience including hazardous materials compliance or regulatory oversight.
• Knowledge of ground operations, vendor management, risk, regulatory compliance, and corrective-action processes.
• Experience working cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive performance improvements.
• Experience analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and communicating risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Hazardous Materials Program to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Monitor and improve operational performance for freighter stations (ground handling, catering, fueling, safety, security).
• Conduct delay research and analysis with factual reporting and adjudication.
• Oversee vendor relationships; travel to stations for oversight of policy and regulations.
• Coordinate safety event reviews and corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Assist in station startups and project management; select ancillary vendors with procurement.
• Lead ground handling process improvements and engage with partners to drive Sun Country product.
• Oversee load planning for freighter operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
