Job summary

Utah Railway Company is seeking a Conductor to move freight safely and efficiently. Training will be provided, and the role operates outdoors in all weather. The position requires physical activity, communication with team members, and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in safety-sensitive environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal, state and railroad safety regulations.
• Communicate with team members using signals or radio to coordinate movement.
• Operate track switches to determine train routes and movement.
• Read and understand rule books and operational instructions.
• Inspect train and equipment for safety during movement and at stops.
• Assist with train documentation and reporting.
