Utah Railway Company (UTAH) is hiring a Conductor in Midvale, UT. You will move freight safely, receive classroom and hands‑on training, and work outdoors in varying weather.

This is a physically active role with growth opportunities within a long‑standing rail network. You will comply with railroad safety regulations, communicate with the team, operate track switches, inspect equipment, and document train movements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet age requirements.
• Experience in safety‑sensitive environments is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Comply with railroad safety and operating regulations.
• Coordinate train or railcar movement with hand/lantern signals and radio.
• Operate track switches to determine train routes.
• Plan, execute and document assigned work safely and efficiently.
• Climb on/off equipment and walk along trains to support operations.
• Inspect train and equipment for safety during movement and at rest.
• Connect air hoses and electrical components between locomotives or railcars.
• Utilize basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
