Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking experienced candidates for the Freight Trading Analytics role to support our Freight Trading teams in Houston, Texas. You will monitor global freight fundamentals, conduct forecasting analysis, and track market disruptions to provide insights that drive trading decisions.

This role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant fields and strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Python, SQL, and Power BI. The position offers numerous benefits aimed at the personal and professional growth of our employees.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight or shipping markets.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for trading teams.
• Familiarity with AIS data and vessel tracking.

Responsibilities

• Monitor global freight fundamentals including supply/demand and macroeconomic drivers.
• Track regulatory changes and market disruptions.
• Develop and maintain models linking vessel supply/demand and freight rates.
• Conduct forecasting and back‑testing for freight trading.
• Advance analytic tools using latest methods and datasets.
