Job summary

ExxonMobil Global Trading is seeking a Commercial Analyst in Spring, TX to support our crude trading team. You will analyze markets, monitor positions, and identify opportunities across storage and transportation with close collaboration across risk, operations, and scheduling teams.

You will build live dashboards and provide economic analysis to inform trading decisions, while developing relationships with internal customers and contributing to the continuous improvement of trade execution

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a numerate subject (e.g., Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance).
Experience in physical or financial commodity trading or related support (risk management, market analytics, scheduling).
Strong commercial acumen and analytical/IT skills.
Broad personal effectiveness and leadership skills for cross-cultural teamwork.
Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily positions and balances in the market.
Build and maintain relationships with internal customers.
Lead resolutions with back-office functions.
Identify commercial opportunities across storage, gathering and long-haul transport.
Develop and maintain global and regional balances for market opportunities.
Create live dashboards for technical and fundamental analysis.
Evaluate routine trading economics and term contracts.
Prepare economics and documentation for tenders and interfaces with risk, operations, and scheduling teams.
Support special projects, testing, and roll-outs.
