Job summary

Exxon Mobil in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Northeast Power Analyst to join our Global Trading Analytics team. The role focuses on market analysis, modelling and strategy development to support power trading and origination activities.

You will analyze regional fundamentals, develop price forecasts using stack models, and contribute to investment cases and commercial decisions. Strong skills in data modelling (R, Python, Matlab) and experience with Eikon or Bloomberg are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a numeric discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience in the North American wholesale power industry or related advisory work.
Proven ability to develop power price forecasts using stack modelling.
Experience with US power fundamentals analysis and advanced analytics.
Strong analytical thinking, intellectual rigor and leadership mindset.
Experience with dispatch/stack models, Eikon, Bloomberg or similar databases.

Responsibilities

Provide market expertise, fundamental analysis, statistical modelling for Northeast U.S. power markets.
Understand ExxonMobil’s North American power exposure and regional dynamics.
Advise on trading strategies, optimization of power positions and opportunities.
Develop and enhance analytical tools to improve market insights.
Translate market drivers into forward price views to support trading decisions.
