You will learn the fundamentals of freight sales during an extended training program and will start by managing a smaller region while building relationships with freight brokers and shippers. Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent Dot Foods Experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Aptitude for strong selling and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to identify and procure third-party freight opportunities from brokers and shippers to support business and transportation needs.
• Manage a smaller assigned region while developing knowledge of freight markets, pricing, capacity, and operational needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with freight brokers, shippers, and internal business partners.
• Develop negotiation and decision-making skills by evaluating freight opportunities, rates, service expectations, and operational fit.
• Complete an extended training and development period, taking on increased responsibility and a broader scope as knowledge and proficiency grow.
