Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Transportation Services Specialist to support SFLC ALD with government and commercial freight operations. You will review EDI exchanges between FEDEX.com and NESSS, input data, respond to shipment inquiries, and prepare bills of lading and routing decisions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include pre-audit of freight bills, maintaining tariff files, and coordinating with carriers like FEDEX and UPS. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and government staff.
• Experience with shipping logistics infrastructures and bills of lading.
• Familiarity with online carrier booking systems such as FEDEX.com and UPS.com.

Responsibilities

• Review electronic data interchange between FEDEX.com and NESSS.
• Input data for non-electronic transactions into NESSS manually.
• Prepare bills of lading and review rates and routes.
• Pre-audit freight bills for correctness.
