Job summary

Spot Freight, Inc. seeks a Pricing Analyst in Chicago to join the sales and product teams. You will prepare proposals, price RFQs accurately, and review submissions with stakeholders to deliver the Spot Experience.

You'll leverage pricing models, market intelligence, and analytical tools to guide decisions, manage large data sets, and support cross-functional pricing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in the 3PL/brokerage industry.
• FTL experience across dry van, reefer, and flatbed with understanding of rate dynamics.
• Ability to manage large datasets and cross-reference multiple data sources.
• Strong persuasive and influencing skills.
• Experience using pricing models and market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales leaders to manage the RFQ and proposal processes.
• Utilize Spot pricing models, market intelligence, and analytical tools to support pricing decisions.
• Develop proposal pricing rates based on contract length and scope.
• Prepare, integrate, and assure the quality of all financial information in bid review packages.
• Perform post-bid analysis, including win/loss trends and pricing competitiveness.
• Collaborate with data science to improve pricing models and tools.
• Coordinate development and improvement of processes to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Explain revenue, margin, and cost drivers across freight verticals/channels.
