Job summary

You will oversee daily staffing, assign duties, monitor performance, and coach for safety and efficiency. Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of LTL, DOT, OSHA preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Organizational skills and multitasking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop employees with focus on retention and growth.
• Supervise work with emphasis on quality, safety, and customer delivery.
• Monitor unsafe acts and correct with action.
• Plan daily manpower and schedules for timely deliveries.
• Communicate assignments clearly to staff.
• Monitor service freight and cut time compliance.
• Identify opportunities to cut costs while maintaining safety.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claims and appointments.
• Gather data for reporting and performance analysis.
• Build relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
• Identify incorrect weight/classification of freight.
• Ensure OS&D is identified and processed.
• Perform admin tasks and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
