Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules, OSHA laws and related regulations is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop employees with focus on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct work with emphasis on safety, quality and timely delivery.
• Educate employees on safe practices and correct unsafe acts/conditions.
• Plan daily manpower and set schedules to meet delivery goals.
• Communicate assignments clearly and coordinate with staff.
• Monitor freight weight/classification accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Address cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety standards.
• Assist customers with quotes, claims and scheduling.
• Gather data for reporting and monitor performance.
• Build relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
• Ensure proper OS&D handling and other administrative duties.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
