Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc is seeking a capable supervisor to lead a team, ensure on-time, damage-free shipments, and deliver excellent customer service. You will plan manpower, supervise staff, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and coordinate with operations to optimize cost and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and knowledge of DOT/LTL regulations, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, as well as company policies and procedures, preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multi-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop company employees focusing on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct employee work with a focus on quality, customer deliverables and safety performance.
• Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
• Communicate job assignments coordinating with all employees ensuring direction is clear and concise.
• Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance.
• Address opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining safety standards.
