Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Indiana to lead all aspects of freight operations and guide a team of hourly staff on daily tasks. You will implement efficient procedures, manage workloads, and ensure compliance with FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT rules.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• LTL industry knowledge, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads.
• Supervise hourly staff and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet operations goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Coach employees on safety rules and quality requirements.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
• Make hiring, suspension and termination recommendations.
