Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced freight forwarder to review and prepare export/import documents, coordinate shipments, and ensure accurate billing and compliance. The role emphasizes customer service and clear communication with carriers, clients, and colleagues.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of US customs regulations, LC procedures, and a background in FCL/LCL operations, with 2+ years of export experience and a bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of US Customs Regulations for exports and basic imports.
• Familiar with country requirements and letter of credit knowledge preferred.
• Strong transportation background including FCL/LCL, routing and documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Export experience of 2+ years.

Responsibilities

• Review export and import documents for accuracy.
• Prepare and present Letters of Credit documents.
• Dispatch import/export loads and confirm delivery to carrier or consignee.
• Track shipments and advise clients of schedule changes.
• Prepare export documents, file AES/AMS/ISF/ACI as applicable, and process entries.
• Ensure timely distribution of transport documents and billing.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and provide quotes to customers.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to resolve client issues.
• Communicate clearly with all parties in a transaction.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
