XPO Logistics, Inc. in Cartersville, GA seeks a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead all freight operations, develop procedures, and supervise hourly staff while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires knowledge of LTL regulations and DOT rules, plus ability to manage workloads and adapt to shifting schedules. The ideal candidate has 2 years of related experience, 2 years of supervisory background, and a Bachelor’s in Transportation/Logistics or 4 years of related work/military

Competenze

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Distribution or Logistics, or 4 years of related work or military experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• LTL industry experience.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and administrative skills.

Mansioni

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Provide training on safety rules and processes and coach employees.
• Maintain organization within the shift to ensure safety and productivity.
• Inspect tools and equipment and direct corrections of unsafe conditions.
• Recommend hiring, suspension and termination decisions.
• Drive actions to improve load average and model compliance.
• Participate in internal safety and engagement committees.
• Lead daily staff meetings and communicate corporate updates.
