Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Cartersville, GA to lead and optimize daily freight activities. You will supervise hourly staff, plan workloads, and implement procedures that meet evolving department needs while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and operational efficiency, with focus on meeting production goals and maintaining high service levels for customer freight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related warehouse/logistics experience.
• Knowledge of LTL, DOT rules and hazmat regulations.
• Able to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement procedures to meet department demands.
• Manage workloads, schedules and staffing for efficiency.
• Coach and develop hourly staff and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately, loaded, and delivered on time.
• Monitor safety, compliance and quality standards across the shift.
