Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Phoenix, AZ to lead and optimize freight operations, ensuring safety and efficiency across shifts. You will supervise hourly staff, manage workloads, and implement procedures to meet evolving department needs.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, knowledge of LTL and DOT regulations, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends. Competitive benefits are offered including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and address workplace questions.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Coach and develop employees on safety and quality requirements.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
