Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Mesa, AZ to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, develop procedures to meet demand, and optimize daily workflows.

You will manage workloads, schedule hourly staff, enforce FMCSR/DOT policies, coach employees, and partner with safety and operations teams to maintain performance and customer service, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules/regulations.
• Able to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet department needs.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and act as primary point of contact for workplace questions.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and administrative functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Coach employees and conduct new hire evaluations.
