XPO Logistics, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee all aspects of freight operations on a day-to-day basis. You will develop procedures, manage workloads, and supervise hourly staff while ensuring production goals are met and costs are controlled.

The role requires 2 years of related logistics experience, LTL and regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work a variety of shifts, with opportunities for career growth in a large transportation network.

Qualifikationen

• 2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, or transportation
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules
• Able to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends
• Bachelor's in Transportation/Logistics or 4 years related work or military experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a relevant field
• LTL industry experience

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads
• Supervise hourly staff and act as primary contact for workplace concerns
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and administrative tasks
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and regulations
• Ensure timely, damage-free processing, loading and delivery of customer freight
• Coach and develop employees including evaluations and corrective actions
• Direct a team to meet productivity goals and make hiring decisions
