Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in the United States. The role leads freight operations, ensuring timely handling and delivery while enforcing safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Manage safety and compliance to optimize network performance.
• Ensure timely and damage-free customer freight handling, loading and delivery.
• Coach employees on safety and quality requirements and performance evaluations.
